Our Mission & Vision

Harbour Futures exists to provide stability, opportunity, and support for children in and known to the care system. Inspired by the idea of a safe harbour amidst life’s choppy waters, we aim to help each child reach their potential through bespoke mentoring, career-focused experiences, and academic support.

Our Story

Harbour Futures was founded to support children in and leaving the care system, providing them with opportunities often unavailable elsewhere. Our founder brings nearly a decade of experience working as a Designated Teacher for Looked After Children, supporting educational attainment, emotional wellbeing, and school transitions.

Through consultancy work, we have collaborated with schools, virtual schools, social care teams, and foster families, helping children move into care and adapt to new school settings. This experience highlighted a consistent need for personalised support packages that combine mentoring, tutoring, and career exposure — and Harbour Futures was created to meet that need.

Why We Exist

Children in care often face instability, frequent school changes, and limited access to opportunities that help them develop confidence, aspirations, and skills. Without additional support, their potential is often left untapped.
